Prop 65 Notice
How California Proposition 65 relates to a telehealth clinic that does not manufacture, dispense, or ship, and what a warning actually means.
Last updated: September 10, 2026
California's Proposition 65 requires businesses to tell Californians about significant exposures to chemicals the state has listed as causing cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm. This page explains how it relates to Sierra Nevada Peptide Wellness, and what a warning means if you ever see one.
What Proposition 65 Is
Proposition 65 is the common name for California's Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986. It requires a business to give a clear and reasonable warning before knowingly exposing anyone in California to a chemical on the state's published list.
The list is maintained by the State of California, runs to hundreds of chemicals, and is updated at least once a year. A chemical can be listed for causing cancer, for reproductive harm, or for both.
Who It Applies To
The requirement falls on businesses with 10 or more employees that operate in California or sell products there. It protects people in California, and it does not set a rule for other states.
How It Applies Here
Sierra Nevada Peptide Wellness does not manufacture medication, does not hold stock, and does not dispense or ship anything. We connect patients with independent licensed clinicians, and a licensed pharmacy fills and ships an eligible prescription.
So any Proposition 65 warning that applies to something you receive comes from the party that made or dispensed it, and it reaches you with the product rather than from this website.
Prescription Medication and Labeling
Prescription medication carries labeling required by the FDA, including its own warnings, contraindications, and safety information. That labeling is the primary place risk information is communicated, and it is written for the medication you were actually prescribed.
Read what arrives with your medication, and raise anything on it with your clinician or the dispensing pharmacy.
What a Warning Does and Does Not Mean
A Proposition 65 warning is an exposure disclosure. It says a listed chemical is present at a level that triggers the state's warning requirement. It is not a finding that a product is unsafe, and it is not an FDA safety determination.
A warning is not a reason to stop taking a prescribed medication. If one worries you, talk to your clinician or your pharmacist before you change anything. Stopping a medication on your own carries its own risk.
If You Receive a Warning
- Keep the packaging and the labeling it arrived with
- Ask the dispensing pharmacy what the warning refers to
- Raise it with your clinician before you change how you take anything
- Tell us, and we will point you at the party who can answer it
California Residents
If you live in California and want to know whether a specific treatment carries a Proposition 65 warning, ask before you order. The dispensing pharmacy holds that information, and we will put you in touch with them.
More Information
California's Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment publishes the chemical list, the warning rules, and plain-language explanations of both at p65warnings.ca.gov.
What a Warning Says
A Proposition 65 warning normally opens with the word WARNING, names at least one listed chemical, and states whether that chemical is listed for cancer, for reproductive harm, or for both. It also has to say where more information can be found.
The exact wording varies by product and by the way the exposure happens, so two warnings on two products will not read identically.
